Do you feel insecure with your living situation? Rents always on the rise while wages stagnate? Getting priced out of your neighborhood? Join us for a book reading and discussion on the politics gentrification, race and organizing. Three authors will be on hand to talk about their new books:

Marta Effinger-Crichlow, City Tech, African American Studies Department, and author of Staging Migrations: Toward an American West From Ida B. Wells to Rhodessa Jones.

Benjamin Shepard, City Tech, Human Services Department, and author of Community Projects as Social Activism.

James Tracy, author of Dispatches Against Displacement: Field Notes from San Francisco’s Housing Wars.
