DESCRIPTION:THE BROOKLYN WATERFRONT’S HOSPITALITYINDUSTRY DURING THE PANDEMIC\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis full-day\, virtual conference will examine what the Covid-19 pandemic did to the restaurant industry along the Brooklyn waterfront through panels composed of industry leaders\, workers\, owners\, and city and borough officials. Panelists will speak about the steps that were taken to survive during the shutdown—re-purposing kitchens to accommodate take-out and delivery orders; hiring armies of deliverers and their ubiquitous electric bikes; building street sheds for those customers willing to brave the elements and the chance of infection; taking advantage of government programs; and numerous other schemes and plans. \n\n\n\n\nRSVP
