DESCRIPTION:The 21st Annual Poster Session will be held on Thursday\, November 16\, 2023\, from 12:30 to 3 pm. This event will showcase the results of the research of our faculty and students and will be open to the public.The Poster Session has become a tradition at the College to highlight the research achievements of our faculty and students. Each year our Poster Sessions have grown and become more interesting and successful. The program and abstracts of faculty presentations show the wide range of research at City Tech. We invite you to join us this year! To be considered for inclusion in the program\, please submit the abstract of your presentation by October 16\, 2023\, through the Poster Session website: http://www.citytech.cuny.edu/annual-poster. \n\n\n\nYou can download the template for the Abstract in Microsoft Word doc format from the same website. When the abstract is complete please upload it to the same website as a Microsoft Word.doc file. \n\n\n\nThe abstract of your presentation should provide a short summary of the research\, 100–200 words (title not included). Please keep in mind that the electronic file you submit will be formatted further and published in the Book of Abstracts of the 21st City Tech Poster Session. \n\n\n\nWe look forward to including you and your students in this college-wide event.

DESCRIPTION:You are invited to attend the 8th Annual City Tech Science Fiction Symposium on Thursday\, November 30 (9:00AM-5:00PM) \n\n\n\nOnline via Zoom\, Sponsored by the School of Arts and Sciences. \n\n\n\nThe theme for this year is “Science Fiction\, Gender\, and Sexuality.” The event features a keynote address by Ytasha L. Womack\, a critically acclaimed author\, filmmaker\, and independent scholar; a writers discussion panel of authors published in Analog Science Fiction and Fact Magazine; the presentation of the Analog Emerging Black Writer Award; a panel discussion from faculty at the Georgia Institute of Technology\, a panel discussion with Macaulay Honors College\, CUNY undergraduate students\, and paper presentations from scholars exploring all aspects of this year’s theme. The symposium is all day long\, but attendees may dip in-and-out as their schedules permit. Also\, the event will be livestreamed on YouTube.  \n\n\n\nLinks for registration and the livestream along with the program are available on the Science Fiction at City Tech OpenLab site.

DESCRIPTION:Human Anatomy & Physiology students will translate their curriculum experience and become a teacher for a day. Activities include information on how our body parts coordinate and function in health and disease. Learn about Pace makers\, blood pressure\, diet\, compare food platters and eating disorders like anorexia.
