SUMMARY:HSI CUNY Conference Call for Abstracts
DESCRIPTION:The HSI Conference: Promoting Servingness across CUNY HSIs will take place at City Tech on May 4 and 5\, 2023. \n\n\n\nThis conference will bring together representatives from all CUNY HSIs in a call to action to intentionally serve Hispanic/Latinx students through data\, practice\, and leadership.  \n\n\n\nWe are accepting abstracts from the CUNY community which highlight HSI initiatives and/or research in a Poster which will be on display both days of the conference.  Abstracts should align with the conference theme of promoting servingness across CUNY HSIs\, topics may include but are not limited to: \n\n\n\n(a) Promoting Servingness as an HSI \n\n\n\n(b) Institutional or Grant Funded HSI Efforts \n\n\n\n(c) Diversity in Hiring \n\n\n\n(d) Best Practices that Support Hispanic Students or Faculty \n\n\n\n(e) Hispanic Student Identity(f) Increasing Participation of Hispanic Students in STEM \n\n\n\n(g) Anti-Racism  \n\n\n\nSubmission deadline: March 10\, 2023 \n\n\n\nPlease use this form to submit an abstract: https://bit.ly/HSICUNYAbstracts  \n\n\n\nOpen registration for individuals interested in attending any part of the 2-day conference will open in late March. \n\n\n\nPlease direct any questions to Melanie Villatoro (Villatoro@citytech.cuny.edu) or Diana Samaroo (dsamaroo@citytech.cuny.edu).
