SUMMARY:Author Identifier (ORCID) for Publishing and Grantsmanship
DESCRIPTION:ORCID IDs are author identifiers. They are especially helpful to authors with names that are more common but they have other benefits including speedier registration in systems for submitting articles\, reviewing\, and grant applications. Grantees who use their ORCID when applying for a grant help to assure that funders connect your funding program to your scholarship. ORCID also helps potential funders to efficiently review your publications. \n\n\n\n\nRegister

SUMMARY:Call for Artwork: Hip Hop & the Latinx Community
DESCRIPTION:Since its inception in The Bronx\, New York in 1973\, hip-hop—the music\, the culture\, and the lifestyle—has become a dominant force that has impacted the globe. Be it in film\, fashion\, or politics\, hip-hop’s undeniable stamp on individual and community expression stems from its diverse\, diasporic influences.   \n\n\n\nInspired by this diversity\, the African American Studies Department and the Hispanic-Serving Institutions Committee will sponsor a library exhibit to jointly celebrate 50 years of hip-hop and Hispanic Heritage Month.  \n\n\n\nWe invite submissions from the City Tech community of creative work (photos\, drawings\, and other forms of images) that connects or is in conversation with hip-hop in the Latinx community.    \n\n\n\nSelected works will be on display in the 2023 Hispanic Heritage Month Library Exhibit and on the HSI Committee OpenLab site.  \n\n\n\nDeadline to submit: May 31\, 5pm  \n\n\n\nGoogle Form: https://tinyurl.com/5e9p25fd \n\n\n\nView flyer
