DESCRIPTION:City Tech is proud to announce that its 83rd Commencement ceremony will be held Saturday\, June 3\, 2023\, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. We are thrilled to include graduates from 2020 and 2021 as honorees in addition to 2022 and 2023 graduates in this event! \n\n\n\n\nHonors Convocation – Wednesday\, May 24 beginning at 5:30 pm with the academic processional forming at 4:45 pm in A104 \n\n\n\n83rd Commencement – Saturday\, June 3 at Barclays Center\, with the ceremony beginning at 3:00 pm\n\n\n\n\nIf you would like to participate as a member of the procession (academic attire required)\, please send your response to FacultyGraduation@citytech.cuny.edu no later than Thursday\, May 18. Include your name\, department or area\, and a positive indication of which event(s) you will attend. If you are available to help during either event with organization\, physical set-up\, check-in\, lineup\, name reading\, etc.\, please include that in your RSVP. Seeing and interacting with supportive professors and staff members at these events is important to City Tech students.  With your help\, we can make this event magical and memorable for our students.

DESCRIPTION:A conference covering architecture\, design\, city planning\, health\, technology\, urban economics and social policy. \n\n\n\nWhat makes a city livable? Transport\, housing\, health. Open space\, mobility and the environment. Matters of culture\, entrepreneurship\, crime and safety. Affordability and access to education. Depending on whose ‘livability index’ you look at\, it may include design quality\, sustainability and the digital infrastructures of the smart city. Other criteria applied may encompass food access\, job opportunities or walkability. Inclusivity and the politics of participation also come into play.
