SUMMARY:Request for Proposals: New Green Economy Capital Funding Opportunity
DESCRIPTION:The City of New York has generously provided $7 million in capital funding for CUNY to invest in equipment\, infrastructure\, and other resources that will enhance our academic and training programs related to the Green Economy workforce. \n\n\n\nPlease review the Request for Proposals (RFP) which outlines the details of this opportunity. The RFP was developed in partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation and aims to advance student readiness for careers across many Green Economy sectors like renewable energy\, green buildings\, sustainable transportation\, and more. \n\n\n\nThe $7M in funding is available to all CUNY colleges for capital expenditures that will directly support relevant academic and training programs.  \n\n\n\nEach college is invited to submit proposals by Monday\, March 4th at 4pm EST via the online survey link provided in the RFP. Proposals should detail the specific equipment/ infrastructure requested\, how it will prepare students for in-demand Green Economy jobs\, projected student usage\, and detailed cost estimates. \n\n\n\nA Q&A session will be held on Friday\, February 8th at 11am via Zoom:https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88184064812?pwd=aHVNM0MxbWpsUWp5Y2hiMGw1Tm9pdz09Meeting ID: 881 8406 4812Passcode: 496769Join by Phone: 1 646 931 3860 \n\n\n\nThis is an exciting chance for our colleges to access substantial funding that will enrich our programs and spur CUNY’s contributions to sustainability and the emerging Green Economy in New York City. I encourage you to review the RFP thoroughly and submit an innovative proposal to help propel our students into these growing fields. Feel free to share this with anyone you think might be interested in submitting an RFP.
