Hispanic Heritage Month Event: Preserving Archives

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the City Tech Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Steering Committee invites you to our sponsored events.

National Hispanic Heritage Month

These events are a space to celebrate, connect, and collaborate toward making City Tech even more inclusive and empowering for our Hispanic students. We plan to discuss exciting ways to promote Hispanic pride, expand HSI programs, and foster a culturally responsive curriculum, all while advocating for student success and retention. 

  1. Latinx Professional Career Event: “Unconventional Paths: The Making of a Research Scientist” with Dr. Lenny Negrón-Piñeiro, Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow at NYU College of Dentistry, Tuesday, Sept. 30, 3 pm-3:50 pm, Room A-709. 
  2. Preserving Archives, Dr. Wendy Barrales, John Jay, CUNY, Wednesday, Oct 15, 12:30-2:00 pm, Room A209 (AFR collaboration). 
  3. Library Display: Archiving and Preserving Cultural Knowledge. Sept. 15-Oct.15.
