Advisement Refresher Workshop for Faculty offered by Faculty Commons– hone your advisement skills!

Topics: 

>  Role of the advisor
>  Resources – advisement tools & where to find answers 
>  Course withdrawal advising & NEW credit/no credit policy
>  Understanding DegreeWorks

Three options to choose from— all virtual: 

We are engaging students both in-person and virtually.

  • First-year students receive daily emailed activities (you can see the full text on the Plan Week page)
  • Continuing students receive three emails with a less-detailed overview and a recommendation to connect with the Professional Development Center (PDC) and Handshake
  • An information campaign in the emails and on digital signs & social media highlight a schedule of hands-on Peer Mentor support available in the Learning Center and Voorhees Computer Lab
  • All activities encourage students to make their academic action plan, incentivized by a raffle for prizes and gift cards
  • Students can enter a raffle to win prizes by participating in person or via an online response form
