While AI can create discriminatory practices, it also has the potential to address and mitigate bias when used responsibly and ethically. It requires a concerted effort from developers, policymakers, and users to ensure AI is a force for positive change and not a source of discriminatory practices.  Please join us for an exciting discussion with Mutale Nkonde, Leader of AI For The People as she discusses algorithmic bias and its influence in higher education. Mutale will also discuss her work around informing policies to ensure discriminatory practices are not enshrined in our institutions that increasingly rely on AI to communicate with the public. The discussion will be led by COMD Professor George Garrastegui, Jr.
