      The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) helps faculty and administrators compete for and win grants that strengthen the intellectual climate and improve the learning environment at City Tech. - - - About PARSE
      
      The Professional Activity Report and Self-Evaluation (PARSE) is the documentation of a faculty member’s accomplishments during each academic year and cumulatively, in the three principal areas of teaching, scholarly and professional growth, and service. The PARSE serves as the basis for the annual evaluation. It is also provides faculty with an instrument to present to departmental and college review committees for reappointment, tenure, and promotion.

Join us for this month’s topic – The journal editor’s perspective, focus on the peer review process and working effectively with the editor.

Professor Sean Scanlan will speak about his experience as editor-in-chief of NANO: New American Notes Online, and Professor Meri Diaz will speak as editor-in-chief of Affilia: Feminist Inquiry in Social Work published with Sage.

Friday 4/10 – Obtaining book contracts, working with editors, peer review
Friday 5/15 – Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), components of an educational research journal article
