Lubie Grujicic-Alatriste (English) mentored Laiba Zia, a student in Dental Hygiene, on a project about linguistic diversity via the CUNY Research Scholars Program (CRSP). They co-wrote a poster presentation that Zia presented this year at Harvard University’s National Collegiate Research Conference (NCRC).
Professor Grujicic-Alatriste secured a grant from the Beitler Foundation which allowed Zia to travel to the conference. Their data showed that City Tech students wanted more language support and deemed it one of the key factors in college success.
