Learning Communities
City Tech’s Learning Communities (LC) initiative strives to ensure that new students have a supportive academic environment. Research states that students in LC adjust better to the requirements of setting into college life and thrive under pressure. Two classes are linked together with an interdisciplinary theme in which students share common learning objectives and experiences in the LC program. Dedicated faculty mentors and peer advisors are selected to cultivate a team oriented educational setting among students ensuring a successful transition both socially and academically.
