Mery Diaz (Human Services) was awarded the inaugural Dr. Guillermo Linares Leadership Award by the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) in recognition of her exceptional leadership, commitment, and longstanding work supporting low-income and first-generation students, particularly across CUNY.
Diaz serves as faculty liaison for the CREAR Futuros peer-mentoring program, has been closely involved in initiatives such as First Year Learning Communities and the “Our Stories” research program, and was one of the founding members of City Tech’s Hispanic-Serving Institution Committee.
