Cayuse eRA

Cayuse is an electronic Research Administration (eRA) system that currently tracks grant proposal submissions, routes pre-award approvals, processes SFI compliance documents, maintains award information and provides reporting. It will serve as the system of record at each CUNY campus for submitted proposals and awards. Faculty will be able to view all their proposal and award grant activity in Cayuse. Fiscal award management will remain separate via RFCUNY.

Faculty and staff do not create proposal records in Cayuse. City Tech OSP manages information in Cayuse.

Cayuse and City Tech grants process

It is essential that faculty/staff submit a City Tech Notice of Intent (NOI) at least one month before the sponsor deadline. If moving forward with an application, a proposal record will be created in the Cayuse by OSP. The proposed PI will meet with OSP to complete proposal record in Cayuse, review application submission process and timeline. Compliance SFI forms will be completed in Cayuse. Once the Cayuse proposal record is complete it will be routed for PI to certify, chair approval and dean approval. This is separate from the sponsor application process, which varies by sponsor.
