This day long Institute will focus on the deep history of CUNY as a way of instilling campus pride as well as connect like-minded educators in a venue that will inspire conversation, debate, and curiosity with regards to welcoming new students to our campuses. The goal of the inaugural CUNY Orientation Institute is to provide the opportunity to explore the role of Orientation Programs in a student’s formal education, as well as, to learn about current trends in Orientation and identify which of these apply to CUNY students. Sessions will focus on different strategies and methods to administer Orientation Programming and share best practices. Participants will engage in sessions that will explore solutions to provide a seamless transition for students from one CUNY campus to another.
