          The Professional Activity Report and Self-Evaluation (PARSE) is the documentation of a faculty member’s accomplishments during each academic year and cumulatively, in the three principal areas of teaching, scholarly and professional growth, and service. The PARSE serves as the basis for the annual evaluation. It is also provides faculty with an instrument to present to departmental and college review committees for reappointment, tenure, and promotion.

    Book Completion Award (BCA) Program

    The BCA invites proposals from faculty in the arts, humanities, and social sciences who are working on research projects they are developing into publishable book manuscripts. This grant program welcomes applications for book projects in the development and prospectus stage, as well as for manuscripts that have been accepted for publication and are nearing completion.

    This workshop will cover a number of assignment design strategies that emphasize active learning through student writing. Developing effective writing assignments helps students retain and critically think about course content.
